Video: In the Air at Heavenly
Heavenly has been getting pounded with snow this past week, so we took advantage of the killer conditions and got an aerial view of the mountain. We woke up to a super cold, blue bird day with a blanket of fresh snow covering the mountain and drove out to the South Tahoe airport a 6 am. An hour before, we had a group of 12 skiers and 2 guides meet at the base of Heavenly and start moving into position at different places on the mountain. It is pretty incredible the amount of coordination it takes to pull off a heli shoot, but all the skiers and guides made it to the right spots at the right time. Big thanks also goes out the Ski Patrol for getting up even earlier than normal and making sure areas were clear to ski. We were able to get some amazing images, look for them in our future video productions.
This video is a behind the scenes look at the shoot:

Cool thanks – I’ll look forward to the follow up (no B images? thoughts on gear for this shoot?)

Tahoe is on my “bucket list.” Thanks for the inspiration!
