Hot August Nights Visits South Lake Tahoe

There’s something beautifully nostalgic about the roar of a classic car engine. It makes me wonder what I would have driven (and where, how fast) if I had been born 50 years earlier. Passing by one of these powerful cars will turn your head, being surrounded by them like at this weekend’s Hot August Nights will feel like a time machine. Come see what cars have made it back into favor, which classics held on to their timeless appeal.

If you’ve got your own classic ride (1976 or older) you can register it for $40. The exhibition of classic American cars will be based out of Ski Run Blvd and the new Heavenly Village/Chateau area (at the base of the Gondola and across Lake Tahoe Blvd) this Friday and Saturday before it moves on to Reno next week.

Come check out vendor exhibitions and giveaways, preview the cars competing in the Show-n-Shine contests, and catch some live music. DJs at Ski Run and Heavenly Village leading into the Heavenly Village concert series, Friday and Saturday 5pm-9pm.

The full event schedule can be found here.
