Cinco de Mayo

¡Cinco de Mayo FIESTÓN!

The sound of ice and tequila tinkling into your margarita glass, the taste of creamy guacamole mounded on a salty corn chip, the sight of the surrounding party half blocked by the sombrero that is slowly sliding down your forehead, unable to be fixed because your hands are full with your margarita and guac-chip…These are the Cinco De Mayo moments we love. Add to that the sounds of live Latin music and multiple days of celebration (Cinco de Mayo falls on Monday…so Friday, Saturday and Sunday are all fair game too) and you have a recipe for a great time, whether you take it frozen or on the rocks. Here is the power line up:

Friday, May 2nd: The 11th Annual Cinco De Mayo Festival. All you can eat Mexican food and live music, for a good cause? Yes, this is the ultimate combination. Plus, you can scope your lines for next season from the party location at California Main Lodge. Make your plans quick! It goes down tonight from 5-10 pm.

Saturday, May 3rd: Cinco De Mayo Palooza. Think you’ve got the chops to win a taco-eating or lime-tossing contest? Head to Montbleu and you could win yourself some dough, about $2,000 bucks worth if you sweep both competitions… Don’t forget your sombrero, either, since it will get you free admission to Opal Ultra Lounge before midnight.

Sunday, May 4th : Live Music at Cabo Wabo Cantina Inside Harvey’s.

Monday, May 5th: Annual Cinco de Mayo Beach Party at the Cantina Bar & Grill. Wear your beach attire, enjoy food & drink specials, and you just might win a stand-up paddle board. Voted Best Mexican Restaurant for 10 consecutive years, this is the place to celebrate the true Cinco de Mayo.

And, if you just haven’t had enough by this time, whip up some of these surprising margarita recipes. Olé!
