Last weekend’s snowfall is a reminder that ski season is far from over here at Heavenly. We have about 50 days until the planned closing date of April 20th and we are filling them with as much shredding and on-mountain activity as we can fit into the calendar.
Next weekend we’re going to see some of the season’s best freestyle skiing during the North Face Park and Pipe Open in Ante Up. Anyone can enter to go against the pros for cash prizes. If you think you can hang, there’s still time to register here.
We’re stoked to be bringing back Spring Loaded from March 28’th to April 5th. The Spring celebration will kick off with a Bud Light Happy Hour at Tamarack Lodge. The DJ CAT will be on site pumping music to get everyone stoked for Gunbarrel 25 on March 29th.
The week will be full of après ski happy hours, beach party style outdoor games, a pub crawl and a few special events.
Some awesome bands are coming to town during Spring Loaded. G Love and Special Sauce will be in Reno on Friday March 28th. In South Lake, Yonder Mountain String Band will be playing at Montbleu on April 3rd and if that hasn’t quenched your live music thirst, check out ZZ Ward at Harrah’s on the 5th.
Red Bull will be in town hosting the Snow Warz slopestyle contest in Ante Up and the Wing Loaded chicken wing eating contest at Tamarack on 4/5.
We’ll finish off the week with a big party to raise money for the Ski Patrol.
Between the Spring Loaded lineup and the 23″ of snow in the past 7 days, I hope you’re as excited as I am about March in Tahoe. The idea of girls skiing in tube tops doesn’t hurt either.
