Even though Mother Nature isn’t dumping snow in Tahoe at the moment, the start of 2014 has been great. With sunny skies and cold temps for snowmaking at night, life is pretty darn good at Heavenly. We are so very thankful for our dedicated snowmaking and grooming teams that lay down the finest snow surfaces around, and the view is pretty incredible too.
We opened several new trails this month; including Mombo and Groove on the California side, and Boulder, a fourth base area ideal for beginners. The addition of these areas boosts our open terrain to 22 lifts, accessing 22 trails and more than 15 miles of skiable terrain.
*Passholders get first access to test out the conditions every Saturday leading up to Presidents’ Day weekend (Jan. 25, Feb. 1, Feb. 8). Just head to the Gondola at 8:00 am and flash your pass.
Sometimes we take it all for granted and need an outsider’s perspective. You might be tired of hearing us gab on about conditions and the best après scene also, so we’ve rounded up a collection of articles from the past few weeks to gain perspective.
