Sometimes after a long day on the slopes, making the decision of where to have dinner can seem harder than doing the moonwalk in your ski boots; especially if you are unfamiliar with your choices. There is no shortage of restaurants here on South Shore and there’s no better way to find your new favorite spot than by checking out Tahoe South Restaurant Week – “Make with Altitude.” With over 15 participating restaurants this year; ranging from local’s favorites to five-star luxury, there is something for everyone to discover at Restaurant Week.
To get everyone in a foodie mood, I’m excited to talk about some of the highlights of this year’s participating restaurants. To start, many of these restaurants are offering special menus that are exclusive to Restaurant Week. They showcase a variety of samplings from their kitchen, making it easy to get a good feel (or taste!) for the cuisine. Even if you’re eating at a restaurant that you’ve tried before, these featured menus are a great way to experience some different dishes from somewhere you already know you love.
Another thing to look forward to is the introduction of several new dining spots on the South Shore since last year including Gunbarrel Tavern in the Heavenly Village and Jimmy’s Restaurant inside of recently-opened The Landing Resort & Spa. But don’t forget the classics, these spots have been making their mark on South Shore for years, it’s not hard to see why places like Red Hut Café, Riva Grill and The Getaway Café have such a loyal following.
By now, you should be hungry and ready for a weekend of skiing, eating and going All In the Heavenly way. To see a full list of participating restaurants, click here.
