If you are visiting Heavenly in the next few weeks, you’ll have a sneak peak of what’s to come. Construction is currently underway at the top of the Gondola on our new summer activities. While the activities will not be open this summer, they are slated to open in time for the winter season and, weather permitting, operate year-round. Things are really beginning to take shape up there at 9,150 feet.
Poles have been placed for the Bear Cave Challenge, located near the children’s ski and ride school building, and the poles for the Boulder Cove Challenge, behind the large trail map at the base of the Gondola stairs, are currently being installed. After the Boulder Cove Challenge is finished, work will begin on the Discovery Forest Canopy Tour.
The framing for the landing base of the new four-line zip line center is also currently being built.
Despite the flurry of activity at the top of the Gondola, we are still operating business as normal, with tubing, hiking, the rock wall, Spider Climber and dining at Tamarack Lodge, all available for guests.
Which new summer activity are you looking forward to most?
