9:00 am – Get to the Heavenly Village early for breakfast. If you haven’t been to the Driftwood Café yet, now is the time. It’s one of my personal favorites and I strongly recommend the Huevos Rancheros.
10:00 am – Once you have finished up, walk over to the Heavenly Gondola to grab tickets for the scenic ride up – the ticket with the lunch voucher is the best option. The Gondola will whisk you up 2.4 miles and provide breathtaking views all the way.
10:30 am – On your way up, stop at the Observation Deck for photos, a latte at Cafe Blue or a unique Heavenly souvenir at The Gondola Sports shop.
11:00 am – Once you get to the top, head up the Tamarack Express chairlift for some of the best views of Lake Tahoe and access to a series of hiking trails, ranging from beginner to expert.
1:00 pm – Head to Tamarack Lodge to refuel with BBQ, an ice cream or a cocktail!
2:00 pm – Tubing time. Just to the side of Tamarack Lodge lies Heavenly’s thrilling tubing hill. With a 65-foot vertical drop and 500-foot long hill, you just have to experience Lake Tahoe’s only summer tubing. Tickets may be purchased at the base of the tubing hill, $10 for three rides. Minimum height is 42 inches.
3:00 pm – Challenge yourself with an exhilarating scramble up our 25-foot climbing wall. The Auto-Belay system will help you experience the thrill of high altitude rock climbing in a fun, safe and controlled environment. Great for beginner through advanced climbers. Tickets are $10 for 10 minutes per person. Minimum weight requirement is 45 lbs.
3:30 pm – Next up, some beach time! As you ride down the Gondola, take some time to discuss the many options you have in South Lake Tahoe: standup paddle, jet skiing, parasailing, taking a cruise on the Tahoe Queen, or even renting a boat of your own. Or maybe, just throw on your suit and play in the water for the afternoon at one of our beautiful beaches. On even the hottest of days the cool water of Lake Tahoe will make you feel like a new person! Top Outdoor Bars and Restaurants
7:00 pm – Stop on by Base Camp Pizza in the Heavenly Village for some excellent grub and lively atmosphere. This pizza joint is perfect for families or twenty-somethings looking for a low-key bar right in town.
8:00 pm – Stick around for live music in the Heavenly Village on Fridays, catch an outdoor concert at one of the arenas, or party all night in one of the many casino nightclubs. You can head to bed by 10:00 pm or gamble ‘til 6:00 am, it’s really up to you…
