Daily Snow Report 4/22/12

Good morning, Skiers and Riders! Thanks to our high elevation and the experience of our seasoned grooming team, you’ll find the finest snow surfaces in the Tahoe Basin at Heavenly! Get up early today to take advantage of the best conditions.

Lifts open at 9am.

Primary mountain access for the day is out of the Gondola, with skiing and riding access via Tamarack Express and Dipper Express. We’ll also operate Gunbarrel Express out of the CA Main Lodge for Experts Only from Noon-4p, conditions permitting. You’ll have access to a total of 22 trails on a 30-48 inch base of spring conditions and machine-groomed snow.

The groomers smoothed corduroy on 12 of the 20 open trails last night, and recommend Comet for you today. Obstacles do exist on and off the groomed trails, so please exercise caution and observe all posted signs and closures. Adventure Peak and ski school are closed for the season, but we do have Ante Up Terrain Park open with approximately 20-22 features for your spring jibbing pleasure!

It’s currently 44 degrees at mid mountain and 46 up top with clear skies and light winds. The forecast calls for mostly sunny skies, light winds and temps in the upper 50s to upper 60s. Sunscreen and continuous hydration are crucial to enjoying this warm spring day!

After today we are open with these limited operations Fri-Sun of next weekend, with a closing date of April 29th, conditions permitting. Tamarack Lodge is open with a limited Spring menu during this time and East Peak Lodge will be open from 10a-3:30p, until further notice. Please Note: Shuttle busses are no longer running for the season.

Today is the final day to lock in the lowest price and amazing spring benefits on your 2012-2013 Season Pass. Get access to the best of Tahoe with Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood! Visit a pass office to buy yours today!
