There are many perks when working at Heavenly. Â I have been working for the resort for seven seasons in the marketing research department. ï¿½Three years ago we started a Street Team here at Heavenly. Â About 30 dedicated employees got together to inspire employee engagement, communication and community involvement.
From the Street Team many awesome actions, events and ideas have blossomed. Â We hosted a Boo Bash for kids of employees on Halloween, had a mountain and neighborhood cleanup, helped plant 1,000 sugar pine trees, had an ice-cream social for new employees, Â had a photo and video contest where we gave away GoPro cameras, but the best one this season was hands down the end of season Employee Appreciation Day.
We just had this employee event on Monday, April 16 and it couldn’t have been more fun, it was like skiing with 300 of your friends. Â Employee Appreciation Day started at the gondola where we uploaded employees. Â We gave away freshly made donuts from the Heavenly Donut stand for breakfast with any topping you wanted. Â Then we had skiing off of Dipper and Tamarack chair with Ante-up Terrain Park in full swing.
The weather was perfect and warm which made for some of the best spring skiing of the season. Â We had a huge BBQ for all the employees with delicious food; my favorite was the handmade black bean and corn burgers! Â Our Vice President was the star of the show when he hosted a raffle with grand prizes of a snowboard and $1,000. Â They even had tubing for all of us!
Overall this season was a blast, thank you everyone who visited us and a special thanks to everyone who worked so hard and made this season possible.
