Daily Snow Report 4/8/12

Happy Easter, Skiers and Riders!  Not sure if you’ll find any eggs on the mountain today, but you’ll certainly find the finest spring conditions and the most open terrain in Tahoe!

Lifts open at 8:30am.

As of 7am, it’s 35 degrees at mid mountain and 29 up top with sunny skies and light winds. The forecast calls for sunshine all day long with winds increasing to moderate with higher gusts, and temps in the low 40s to upper 50s. There is a chance those winds could impact lift operations, so call 1.800.HEAVENLY or check back for updates. It’s going to be a beautiful spring day, so wear plenty of sunshine and stay hydrated!

We’ll be operating 27 lifts, accessing 93 trails with a 48”-85” base of spring conditions and machine-groomed snow. Adventure Peak is has 6 lanes of tubing and sledding for the little ones. High Roller, Ante Up and Groove terrain parks are open with a combined total of 80 creative features!

The groomers laid corduroy on more than 60 trails last night and say their finest work was on Ridge Bowl in CA and on Big Dipper in NV. Obstacles do exist off the groomed trails, so please exercise caution and observe all posted signs and closures. Play it safe, play all season!

All four base lodges are open today with free shuttles running between them for your convenience. It’s the final day of operations for both Boulder and Lakeview Lodges, as well as Galaxy Chair and First Ride Chair. Additionally, Ski & Ride School will only be offered out of the Gondola starting tomorrow through the 15th.

Spring has sprung at Heavenly and the Spring Loaded festivities continue this weekend with Unbuckle après ski party on Fri and Saturday, and a full, non-stop event lineup on Saturday the 14th, including the Stateline Showdown, a Helly Hansen Fashion Show, and the ever-popular Ski Patrol Fundraiser Party.

The time to buy your 2012/13 season pass is now! If you pay in full, you can ski the rest of this season for free! Prices start as low as $379 for access to Heavenly, Northstar, and Kirkwood! Click here or visit a season pass office for more details.
