Daily Snow Report 3/1/12

2-29-12Meganpow2

Good morning skiers and riders! It’s another great powder day here at Heavenly! 4 inches of fresh snow has fallen since the lifts closed yesterday, making a foot of snow in the last 24 hours. Up to another foot of snow is expected throughout the day today and we’ve received 2 ½ to 3 feet of snow in the last 3 days already! Winds are impacting lift operations today, so please call 1-800-HEAVENLY or check skiheavenly.com for the latest. The Gondola and Stagecoach Express are on wind hold as of 7am and Boulder Lodge and lift are closed. You are able to access the mountain and the top of Powderbowl Express through the California side by Gunbarrel Express lift or the Aerial Tram. Get out those powder skis and board! Wear warm layers and cover your face from snow and weather. The California side has everything from beginner terrain to double black diamond terrain today.

Lifts open at 9am.

Obstacles do exist on and off the groomed runs so please exercise caution and observe all posted signs and closures.

The Umbrella Bar at Steins and the California Base Lodge would be a great place to take a break in today! The California Base Lodge will host all ski school activities today.

Have a blast in the fresh snow!
