Daily Snow Report 2/5/12

East Bowl

Happy Super Bowl Sunday, Skiers and Riders!  Lifts open at 8:30am.

The debut of East Bowl yesterday was a touchdown indeed and I’d just like to thank our dedicated snowmaking team for continuing to allow us to open more excellent trails! Conditions are incredible on more than 32 miles of open terrain! Today we’ll be operating 25 lifts, including the newly reopened North Bowl Chair, accessing 67 trails with a 25-35 inch base.

Adventure Peak will be open with 5 lanes of tubing and sledding for the little ones. Our terrain park crew is offering up two options, Ante Up in NV or Groove Park in CA. Between the two parks there are 45 total features to show your skills on today!
Layers for the morning and plenty of sunscreen are the recommendations for the day. Obstacles do exist on and off the groomed trails, so please exercise caution and observe all posted signs and closures. Play it safe, play all season! Take advantage of our free shuttle busses running between all 4 base lodges. North Bowl Chair is open today, so all four of our bases now provide access to the upper mountain.

The snowmakers have been helping provide us with a great season, so far, and yesterday we were even able to debut some double black terrain on East Bowl. Check it out:

The groomers also deserve a pat on the back for turning all of that snow into soft carvable corduroy on more than 45 trails every night! They suggest you check out their work on CA Trail in NV today and on Ridge Run in CA.

Watch the first half of the game with us during the après ski party in the Tamarack Lodge from 3:30-5:30pm. We will be closing the lodge around half time, and you can take the party to any one of the great spots for viewing the game in Stateline! Hope your team wins today!
