Snowmaking and Grooming Update 1/19/12

 1-10-12snow

Good morning skiers and riders! Big snow is in the forecast for the next few days! Our groomers smoothed out 27 trails last night on over 215 acres of terrain. The Groomer’s Picks of the Day are Boulder Bowl on the Nevada side and High Roller on the California side. Other groomed runs include Boulder Bowl, Olympic Downhill, Big Dipper, California Trail, Easy Street, Crossover, Pepi’s, Orion, Ridge Run, Skyline Trail, High Five,  Maggie’s, Patsy’s and Groove. Check out the Grooming Map for today.

No snow was blasted last night, but our groomers did a great job dispercing snow to continue our great coverage. The beginning of the snow storms is slated for this afternoon with most of the snow hitting Friday night into Saturday.

It is Safety Week and today’s code of the day is “Observe all signs and warnings, and stay off closed trails.” Check out our safety video of the day.

Winds are impacting lift operations today so please call 1-800-HEAVENLY or check skiheavenly.com for the latest.

Stay safe and have a fun out there!
