Daily Snow Report 1/14/12

Good morning, Skiers and Riders! Thanks to our dedicated snowmaking team we are opening even more terrain on the California side of the mountain today! We plan to operate 22 lifts accessing 26 trails and over 14 miles of terrain! We now have 5 lanes of Tubing at Adventure Peak along with sledding for the little ones. Ante Up terrain park is freshly rebuilt with larger jumps and two lines of creative features!

There’s a slight chance winds could impact lift ops as the day continues, so call back or check back for the latest. Lifts open at 8:30am.

The groomers suggest you check out the newly added terrain on High Roller Run, which is open for ski thru only. In NV, they suggest you carve down 2400 vertical feet on Olympic.

Please keep in mind that you can ski and ride from Nevada to California, but not the reverse at this time. Free shuttles will be running between all 4 base lodges throughout the day.

It’s National Safety Awareness Week and the Code of the Day is #1 Always Stay in Control. Today you’ll find of host of activities including a Rope Rescue Demo at the top of the Gondola and helmet decorating with Ripperoo during the kids’ snow parade at the fountain in the village at 4:30p.

For some big kid entertainment, join the fun at Tahoe’s ultimate après ski party, Unbuckle, in the Tamarack Lodge from 3:30-5:30pm with half priced drinks, our own Heavenly Angels and a live DJ, or rock out and reminisce Jimi Hendrix in the California Bar at 3 with the Ralph Woodson Experience.

Be sure to visit our new Snow Reporting tab on the Heavenly Mountain Facebook page! It’s the one-stop-shop for all of the latest conditions related information!
