Gobble, gobble! The day of giving thanks, stuffing yourself with food and enjoying time with family and friends is almost here. This year, I’ll be hosting my in-laws for a true Tahoe Thanksgiving – a mid day feast followed by afternoon skiing. Coming from Indiana, this is surely going to be a unique holiday for them.
Tahoe offers everything you and your loved ones would expect from an epic Thanksgiving celebration and so much more. Here are some of my recommendations for creating an amazing turkey day in Tahoe.
For places to eat, our friends at Heavenly Tahoe Vacations recommend Sage Room for fine dining, Edgewood for families looking for something nice but traditional, and then Forest Buffet for those looking to be truly glutinous! If you are renting a condo and want to eat in without spending time cooking, Lake Tahoe Catering and the Cork & More have delicious meals to go.
Thanksgiving day is typically a great time for skiing and riding because the mountain is less crowded. So while everyone else is sitting on the couch digesting, you can make some turns on 44 acres of Tahoe’s best surface conditions.
Then at night, there are tons of parties going on around town including a concert from BUSH and a pool party at MontBleu on Saturday. Plus you can take in all the football action at the sports books in the casinos in town.
Looking for a last minute deal to make your Thanksgiving dreams a reality? Our “Heavenly On the House” vacation deal will get you a third night free – perfect for a Thursday – Sunday trip. This deal starts at $325 per person for three nights lodging and lift tickets.
So Thanksgiving in Tahoe sounds pretty great, huh? Â BUSH concert, apres ski, amazing conditions, great food and screamin’ deals. If I were you, I’d change your plans and bring the family down to Tahoe to have a long holiday weekend in the mountains.
