Daily Snow Report 1/29/11

Good Morning Skiers and Riders! There’s snow in the forecast starting late tonight, but in the meantime, you can warm up those powder legs with some turns on the finest groomed corduroy in Tahoe! With the highest elevation and most experienced grooming fleet in the Basin, Heavenly is where you’ll find the most consistent snow surfaces right now.

The groomers suggest Milky Way Bowl in NV and Pinnacles Left in CA — both winched last night — for some steep turns. The rail line in High Roller, our large terrain park, debuts today after much anticipation! We have 3 additional terrain parks for all levels of skier/rider.

There’s a chance winds could affect lift operations, so please check back or call 1.800.HEAVENLY for the latest. Lifts open at 8:30AM.

Families join us at 4:30p at the fountain in the Heavenly Village for the Ripperoo Kids’ Snow Parade!  Heavenly Ski & Ride School mascot, Ripperoo, will lead the kids in a jaunt through the village, ending with a treat from seattle’s best coffee. Big Kids can get their groove on in the CA Lodge to the tunes of Sound Kitchen starting at 3pm.

For a fully interactive experience today and a shot at a $100,000, be sure to activate your EpicMix account when you leave the mountain!
