Free Skiing and Riding in Las Lenas

Vail Resorts announced today that all Vail Resorts Epic Pass™ holders including new and renewing Epic Pass purchasers for the 2010-2011 ski and snowboard season can now continue their epic winter season through the summer – in the Southern Hemisphere – with free and unrestricted skiing and snowboarding at Las Leñas Resort in Argentina when staying at select hotel properties in Las Leñas.

“The Epic Season Pass already gives skiers and riders unlimited access at Vail Resorts’ world-class resorts including Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Heavenly, as well as Arapahoe Basin, but we wanted to give Epic Pass holders even more benefits by offering an opportunity to ski and ride year round,” said Heidi Kercher-Pratt, vice president and chief marketing officer for Vail Resorts. “We are thrilled to work with Las Leñas, a legendary resort in Argentina, to give Epic Pass holders the chance to have an endless winter season.”

The Epic Pass is back for its third season and provides unlimited, unrestricted access to six world-class resorts including Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Heavenly, as well as Arapahoe Basin for a price of $599 adult and $299 child (ages 5 to 12). Now, all Epic Pass holders can receive free and unrestricted skiing from June through October of 2010 and 2011 at Las Leñas during their stay at a qualifying Las Leñas hotel. Prices on the Epic Pass are guaranteed through May 31, 2010 and purchasers can put $49 down now with the remainder due in mid-September. How do I know if my pass is valid at Breckenridge? I purchased my pass as a Double Whammy for Norsthstar and Sierra, but then after the buy out, it was being called the epic pass. Is my pass also valid at other Vail resorts? I’m headed to Colorado this week and I’d like to ride at Breck if I can. Thanks.

Hi James- that is a tricky one. If you opted to upgrade your Double Whammy pass to an Epic Pass, then you have unlimited access to Breckenridge. If you did not upgrade, then you have access to 1/2 price tickets at Breckenridge with your pass. Give us a call at 1-800-432-8365 (choose the season pass office) and we’ll be happy to answer your questions more in depth.

Have a great time in Breckenridge!
