Heavenly Announces Lake Tahoe’s Best 2010-11 Season Pass!
The $339 adult Heavenly Pass – Lake Tahoe’s best pass deal – goes on sale tomorrow, March 20, 2010, giving you access to all the things you love most about Heavenly: Tahoe’s best grooming, the fewest blackout dates, the best tree skiing on the planet and the West Coast’s largest snowmaking system – which this season, allowed you to ski and snowboard in early November when your buddies with passes to other resorts could only look on with sad, puppy-dog eyes. And if all that wasn’t enough, we’ve extended this season another week to April 25, 2010, so you can get that much more value from this season’s pass.
So those are the words. If you want some pictures to get you fired up, check this out:
Now we know that next season is a long way off, so if you renew your season pass now, we’ll give you two extra Buddy Tickets for use this season! Did we mention that this season is actually longer? That’s the value of being a Heavenly Pass holder. And if you don’t want to put $339 down right now, $49 locks in the price – and trust me, it won’t get any cheaper than this!
If you’re a new buyer and you buy your pass right now, you’ll ski or ride April 2010 for free! And since we’ve just decided to extend our season one week to April 25, 2010, that gives you 25 days of Lake Tahoe’s biggest mountain, highest elevation, longest vertical drop, most breath-taking scenery, largest snowmaking and grooming operation, finest snow surfaces and best tree skiing.
In addition to the season pass benefits, Heavenly has consistently improved the resort with capital investments. In the last five years, Heavenly has added a new lift, seven new trails, 25 grooming snowcats (including two winch cats), 22 automated snowmaking fan guns, a tubing hill, a zip line, an umbrella bar, expanded East Peak Lodge, and re-graded Skyline Trail as well as selectively widening or removing obstacles from numerous other runs. For 2010/11 the resort will add a 14,000-square-foot, on-mountain restaurant at the top of the Heavenly Gondola near Tamarack Express.
There’s really no good reason NOT to buy your Heavenly Pass. So get yours today and I’ll see you on the mountain soon.

Although this might look like a great offer what about the pass holders from this season that get
NO buddy passes because they bought their 2009/2010 passes after the last June deadline. What a rip-off!!!!!

Kelley – So sorry to hear that you feel like you’re being mis-treated by Heavenly. We are very up-front about the Buddy Tickets. They are an early-season incentive for current passholders to renew. It is communicated in every e-mail, every direct mail, and is spelled out clearly on the web site. Any way you cut it, you’re not getting ripped off by paying $339 for Lake Tahoe’s largest mountain. I hope that you can still feel good about being a Heavenly passholder and that we’ll see you on the mountain soon.

Russ, I’m confused. Your ad says “Now we know that next season is a long way off, so if you renew your season pass now, we’ll give you two extra Buddy Tickets for use this season!” Is there a catch? Is this not accurate? Do some poeple get free buddy passes and not others? Please explain.
