Female Skiers Unite!

Have you ever felt like you’re just hanging on, trying to keep up? Do you love skiing with your best girlfriends, but want to ski like the boys? Or do you just want to put the finishing touch on your turns?

I would highly recommend signing up for every Women’s Clinic you can get your hands on. It is truly amazing what the camaraderie of a group of women will do for your confidence and skills. I have spent the past 10 years as a women’s clinic coach and not only is it really fun for all those who participate, it’s really exciting to be a part of programs that help women progress through the sport and reach milestones they never thought they could. These clinics are coaching-based, which guarantees adventure and exploration and you will discover something inside you never thought you had. These top female coaches provide you with tips on your personal skiing as well as providing you with tactics and strategies to tackle any kind of condition and any kind of terrain. If you have never tried one, sign up today. Trust me – it will take you to the next level.

Editor’s Note:Amy McCormick is the Executive Assistant for the VP of Marketing at Heavenly Mountain Resort. She grew up in the Bay area, spending her weekends skiing all over the Tahoe Basin. She moved up here 18 years ago to attend Sierra Nevada College so she could spend as much time on skis as possible (and of course get an education). She has worked in the Ski industry for over 12 years and is a PSIA and USSA certified ski coach as well as a member of the K2 Women’s Alliance Ski Team. She helped pioneer the Expedition Kirkwood Women’s program and has helped female skiers discover that they can ski as hard as the guys. Her passion is getting people involved in the sport. “I love watching people accomplish things they never thought possible and taking them to places they would never take themselves.”
