Romantic Valentine’s Day Vacations
Whether you ski or not, Heavenly is a great place to come for a romantic Valentine’s getaway! Your lodging choices are endless. Looking for a luxury property right by the lift? Try the Marriott Grand Residence. If a full service Hotel Casino is more your style, check out Harveys. Or maybe you want a little place on the lake away from the action at Stateline? Tahoe Lakeshore Lodge might be perfect for you.
Once you get here, there are dozens of activities to choose from. Skiing or snowboarding is our favorite option of course! And you know what they say: A couple that plays together, stays together! Other great options include a scenic Emerald Bay cruise, a lake view snowmobile tour, couples massages, or a sleigh ride. If you need some food to hold you over before dinner, check out the Après Wine Company for hors d’oeuvres and wine tasting!
Speaking of food and drinks, we’ve got more then our fair share of great restaurants in town. For romantic on-mountain dining, I highly recommend calling our catering department and arranging for a romantic on-mountain picnic. What an amazing surprise for your significant other in the middle of a ski day! Another great option is the Gunbarrel Grill, a full-service dining experience with lake views. For dinner, try any of the following wonderful options: Cafe Fiore, Evans, 19 Kitchen Bar or the Chart House. These are just a few of the dozens of great restaurants you’ll find here in South Shore!
Editor’s Note: Darcy is the manager of Heavenly Tahoe Vacations, our on-mountain travel agency. Back in December, Darcy and her husband, Jim, volunteered to be our models for a photoshoot of our gourmet snow picnic. That’s them in the picture above.
