Congrats!
Well played – now put a high-speed quad on the canyons

Great suggestion, Demian. It’s on the list, but there a few projects that are a higher priority. Besides, most people’s legs couldn’t handle a high-speed lift in the Canyons – they need the rest!

Nice work! Biggest Little Backside or What Happens in Heavenly Stays Heavenly?

Congrats on the press! Whereas I can’t agree on a high speed lift in the canyons, I think the North Bowl Triple is ready for the upgrade and Galaxy should take second fiddle to NB. Granted, this is just an opinion. Have you guys thought about linking a forum to this page so we could get some good conversation going about the mountain? I know the economy has taken its’ toll on the master plan, but with such a great resort and pretty darned good website to boot, it would be nice to hear from some Heavenly and Lake Tahoe skiers and riders.
Hope the 4th was great!

Hey, Jerry. Appreciate your well-thought-out comments and passion for the mountain.

Will Heavenly be announcing any capital improvements this summer? I think we had the video by Blais at this time last year. Just curious if we can expect anything new on the South Shore next year!
Thanks, Jerry

There is no question but that North Bowl is ready for an upgrade; however only after Galaxy and the large amount of trails which could be cut therefrom are mined. Is this the Summer that Galaxy gets done?

Jerry – we’ll be making our traditional “what’s new” announcement in the coming months. Look for it on the blog!

The voters must have been blind or bad skiers. Heavenly is flat. They may have high speed lifts but heavenly also has very expensive food and flat runs.

Hey, Steve. Thanks for the comments – although, I’d say, if you think Heavenly is flat, you’re skiing or snowboarding in the wrong places!

i totally agree with russ. alot of people dog heavenly and say its flat or whatever. bring your own lunch or your right on south shore. leave and get something to eat. you just have to be a little creative at heavenly go off the trails there is some serious stuff to be had. is high roller going to on jackpot again i thought it was a better run for a park, did park crew like it? one more thing you cant replace firebreak i dont care where you go, best tree run in the basin and far from flat

The Heavenly Terrain Park Crew agrees with you, Josh. The terrain park will remain on Jackpot and we’ll call it “Jackpot” this season. Mike Thomas is working on some really cool features in the shop this summer, sticking with the recycling theme.

I booking reservations for this winter. Went to Tahoe for the first in July and took the lifts up Heavenly and said “I am coming back this winter!”. Can’t wait to try your mountain out.

Toby – make sure you hook up with Heavenly Tahoe Vacations, our slopeside travel agency. They’ll give you all the inside knowledge, and it makes it easier if you can’t make your trip for some reason.

Hey Russ, I booked at Lake Tahoe Vacation Resort in the CA side of Tahoe. Guess I should have checked back sooner than later

Hey there I have a question. Finally got a pass to Heavenly this year. I was wondering where cheap or prefferably FREE parking is? Suggestions or hints? Does the EPIC pass qualify for any specialty priveledges? Thanks a lot! Keep those snow guns blazing guys!

Hey, Canann. We offer free parking at our California, Stagecoach and Boulder bases. When we open, we’ll only have the Gondola as a mountain access point, so you can park at the Cal Lodge and we’ll have free, low-emission shuttles available to take you over to the Gondola. Thanks for buying a pass! You won’t be disappointed! – Russ
