Heavenly Ski Resort Mobile Site
We try to make this website and blog a great resource for Tahoe visitors looking for current snow and weather conditions, news, webcam photos and video from Heavenly Mountain Resort. But it really only works well if you have a computer. But if you’re looking for all of that information when you’re on your way up to Tahoe, or hitting the shops restaurants and casinos in South Lake Tahoe, you might have trouble viewing our site on an iPhone, iPod Touch or Smartphone.
Not anymore!
With the coming Tahoe Powder Storm we’d like to announce the launch of the Heavenly Ski Resort mobile site!
Weather you’re trying to find driving directions to Heavenly, current snow and weather conditions, instant webcam photos, the latest video, Twitter update or blog post, you can find them all on the heavenly mobile site.
The site comes in two flavors that are automatically served up based on the mobile device you’re using. Bookmark m.skiheavenly.com/iphone if you’re viewing on an iPhone, iPod Touch or TMobile G1 Android. Most other smartphones, blackberries and Palm devices will prefer the mobile site at m.skiheavenly.com/mobile.
You can also add our widget to your blog, website or iGoogle page by copying the code on this page.
So leave the laptop at home and come on up to Tahoe and we’ll keep you up to date on all the snow with our new mobile site!

Why does the mobile conditions report contain so much less information than the standard one? It’s kind of useless, frankly. And why isn’t there a link on the mobile site to take you back to the regular site?

I’d just like to say that it would be nice if I would have a choice as to whether I used the mobile site or the normal site. there is a lot of information on the normal site that I just can’t access.

A high res trail map would also be nice for the mobile version. This is a huge mountain and it’s easy to get a little lost. I found an app for my iphone (search “snow motion” in the app store) that gives a trail map but it gets harder to read as I zoom.

iPhone guy, as well as any other techy phone. There are plenty of free ski applications you can put on your phone. Im using snow report and you can put multiple resorts on your list for it. give it a look.

Hey there Brian… those free ski apps are garbage. I bought an iphone so that I could use the “real” internet, not some dumbed down version of it. Whoever is the webmaster for the mobile version of the heavenly website, shut it down. It’s not worth the effort that you’re putting into maintaining it. Even before I had the iphone, my treo worked just fine with the mobile site.
