Heavenly’s TPC Needs Your Vote!!
Well, well; seems like we’ve got a lot of powder jonesers out there. Trust me, I’m in the same boat! Since I received such a large response to the recent Terrain Park posting I thought I would follow up with this announcement: The Heavenly TPC has been nominated for Ski Area Management magazine’s annual Terrain Park Contest for the recycled features that have been designed and built by the staff. THE TPC NEEDS YOUR VOTE TO WIN!! The recycled feature program that Mike T. has implemented into the park features for this season is innovative and environmental at the same time.
Click Here to submit your vote to SAM magazine and support Heavenly’s TPC.
Can’t wait to see you all in the park this season! Make sure to get your season pass so you’re up there when we open.
Think snow people,
Aimi X.

This is great and all but are we even going to have enough snow to open up Novemeber 21? I have been looking at comet’s cam and it seems as though there are still alof of rocks showing…

Shouldn’t we see the recycled park first before we vote?
November 13th, 2008 at 4:10 pm
wow mike is turning into a hippie, did he make a down rail out of recycled cans?
November 13th, 2008 at 4:46 pm

Just don’t dig and rope off the snow out of HEAVENLY FAMOUS TREES as has been done in the past.
November 16th, 2008 at 9:08 am
Lets see, my comment is awaiting moderation, well for the last few years the trees on bothe sides of Betty’s Run(high roller?) have been roped off and catted out in order to build the features, lots of people have used those areas for many years without hinderance. Betty’s Bumps( a very popular section of the run) have been cut in order to land a huge jump that only a couple of people used. Perhaps the new radio passes will allow you to track how many people actually use the area(s) and compare those numbers to the past historical percentages of use. The only park that seems to get any real use is the Groove Park.
November 17th, 2008 at 10:32 am
lower high roller trees (betties bumps, arent roped off so you cant use.. you just have to access from inside the park. its a saftey issus so know one cuts under landings. which LOTS of people do. Be smart, be safe. High roller is used as much as groove park, the people are just spread out more since that park is so big.

Is there enough snow for you guys to open?????Kind of would like to make plans for this weekend, sooooooooooo what’s up?????crickets, crickets, crickets, anyone, Bueller, Buelller????
November 17th, 2008 at 9:11 pm
so what are the snow conditions and will you please verify opening date?
last year when we got no updates it meant that you were delaying the opening, but not keeping us updated!
Keep us in the loop, Heavenly- it’s nuts like us who are willing to drive 5 hours for a day trip that keep the ’snow fever’ and pass it on to our kids/friends……
if the upper runs are open, Santa Cruz will be there next week!

Powderbowl is fun too, but the lines for the park are too short. I liked the features over on Tamarack a couple years ago. I wish we had a longer run for park somewhere..
November 18th, 2008 at 8:31 am
Why nobody answer, not enough snow comment? Today is 18th, and it seems difficult that the mountain will open three days from now. Any clue when the mountain will be open?
November 18th, 2008 at 9:46 am
I just called. They said it’s weather dependent and they won’t know until Thursday afternoon.
