October Snow = Big Winter?

Hey, gang. So here’s the interesting stat of the day: Historically, when Heavenly receives five inches or more of snow in October, for the season, we typically end up 30 inches over the average season. In English: We’re right up against the five-inch barrier, so expect lots of snow this winter! If I’m you, and I’m reading this at home, I’d click this link to go buy my Heavenly or Epic Pass.

Today’s snow reached Lake level, so Dane got some cool shots down at the Village – check it out:

And now we’re just THREE WEEKS, or 21 days, before snowmaking starts! I heard Barrett and the guys over the radio switching out nozzles and testing pumps today.

Winter is on the way people! ARE YOU READY?!

Awesome! I’m sitting on my sofa here in the UK giggling with glee – hoping to be in Heavenly for most of February, and this is excellent news.

Looking forward to a great season. I have one request. Don’t spend the money on the big terrain park that goes almost unused. Instead it would be great if you would get back to grooming East Bowl and Little dipper as in the days before Vail. I have been skiing here for 35 years and I do not have the knees for the bumps anymore. I do like the steeps however. Us older skiers spend money and you need to cater to the old farts once in a while.

Thanks for listening to my rant.
