Heavenly Flyer is Open!

Tahoe’s newest adventure ride the Heavenly Flyer ZipRider, located at the top of the Heavenly Gondola in the Adventure Peak activities area, opened for the summer season on June 21st. The Heavenly Flyer operates seven days a week from 11 am to 3 pm.
At 3,200 feet in length it is the longest zip line in the continental U.S. When I first looked up at this ride I thought, no way am I doing that. But when I was strapped safely into my harness and about to launch the butterflies I felt in my stomach were those of excitement versus those of fear. People were waving at me from a hundred feet below as I zoomed at 50 mph screaming and laughing. The views were amazing and Lake Tahoe sparkled in front of the majestic Mt. Tallac. I really enjoyed the wind in my hair and the feeling of flying. To sum it up…you gotta try this!
