Glen Plake in Peru!

I have successfully completed my expedition in Peru. I will compile some photos and a short story for your enjoyment to be released soon.

On these adventures I always giggle to myself, every time I go above 20,000 feet I stop and think about the path that this California Gunbarrel bump skier has taken to be standing on a summit. The technical skills and repetition of skiing the Face has prepared me well for the long approaches and commitment it involves climbing/skiing some of the most remote and highest mountains in the world.

I am back in Europe at the moment working in the factories designing new skis and boots that I will begin testing next month – another unique opportunity that I welcome. Between the expedition and this Europe trip I have yet to feel the warm air and my skin still has the white winter tan, although I plan on being in California next week – looking forward to being home.
