Jes Ford Checks-In from Montana
Whats up Heavenly snow shredders??
Jes Ford here, checking in from Montana. I’ve been here in Big Sky country for about a week now, and I’m leaving today to spend a few days in northern Washington, where it is getting dumped on. I plan on doing some great backcountry riding around there, and then I’ll be back in Tahoe next week. I competed in the 10th Annual Nate Chute Hawaiian Classic at Big Mountain in Whitefish, MT this weekend. I was defending my title from the last two years in the combined Banked Slalom and Boardercross events, but there was some stiff competition in that neck of the woods (as always) and I ended up coming in second place overall this year. Individually I got 2nd in the Boardercross and 3rd in the Banked Slalom. This contest is really about having fun, and all the relocated-to-tahoe-montucky-natives were there, and we had a blast partying it up over the weekend.
Once back in Tahoe, I will be shredding around up at Heavenly, and competing in some more of the Jackpot Rail Jams. I won the first of these events last weekend, and it was a great set-up! Really fun!! Oh, and look for my video on the High Roller Team Website. It will be up any day now, I swear. See you around!
