11-30-07 Snowmaking Update
Comet run has opened for today and we’ve got top-to-bottom skiing and riding on Orion and Comet with Von Schmidt’s leading back to Tamarack and the Gondola. Terrain Park Manager Mike Thomas and his team are working on putting a small park on Comet, and we’re hoping to have that for the weekend!
Heavenly Snowmaking has shifted to Big Dipper and Cal Trail as the march towards California side continues. We’ve put in over 226 hours this season of snowmaking, and the West Coast’s largest snowmaking system has provided us with the best snow surface conditions and most open terrain in Lake Tahoe. We hope to get Big Dipper open for the weekend with Cal Trail to follow. Check back to skiheavenly.com for updates daily as conditions change and terrain is added.

Seriously everyone… we’ve got to start praying harder for snow. It seems like everyone else is getting it except for Tahoe, and it doesn’t look like we have anything forecasted for the next week.

Kudos to the Heavenly team; conditions were outstanding today given the circumstances. Felt like mid-winter out there today with the light snow and temperatures.
