Opening Day Video: Great Conditions, Big Smiles!
The mountain was beautiful this morning operating under sunny skies with no winds. The snow conditions were awesome, soft and fast; everything I expected it to be. Everybody at the mountain was smiling and the vibe was Nor Cal fabulous! The snowmaking team did a great job offering the best conditions and most terrain in the Tahoe basin. Here is a fact for you: Orion run is 5,230 feet of sweet skiing and riding! Be up here tomorrow morning at 8:30 am to experience our excellent conditions. By the way, all passholders are welcome to ski and ride beginning tomorrow!

I was getting worried for a while that my vacation would be ruined, but thanks for all your hard work making the early season snow… I am coming out to Heavenly from Cleveland, Ohio 12/9 to 12/15. Assuming there is only a trace amount of snow the next 2 weeks, how many runs/trails do you anticipate being able to open with your artificial snow making? Thanks again for all you’re doing!

Just got back from riding… I was pleasantly surprised with the surface conditions. The slopes were kinda crowded, but no lift lines at all actually. I was never more than 3-4 groups back. Probably heading back tomorrow… praying to get some snow at the end of the week!

We are thinking of planning a ski vacation for late March, early April. We are not that experienced. Was wondering if anyone can advise what the skiing is like that time of year. Are we safe going ahead with our plans? Thanks for any insite.

The snow what sick for not having any storms! Thanks for a Phatty Thanksgiving. Looked cloudy today on the way out, hoping a storm will hit to kill the drought!

Orion was just as good as it was last year opening day, and I got my old legs completely used up in the 4 hrs I could stay on the slopes…Heavenly is truly the best place on a low snow season for their superior snowmakers there…KJR
