IT’S OPENING DAY!
Thanks for joining us for opening day! The West Coast’s largest snowmaking system has been operating day and night in order to provide you with the most terrain and best snow surface conditions in Tahoe. However, with only one run open, terrain is limited. We will primarily be skiing on riding on Orion, our quintessential Nevada cruiser. Measuring 5,230 feet in length, it’s one of the longest trails in the basin. Snowmaking has shifted to lower Comet as we look to open a second run.
You can access the mountain through the Gondola today. We have shuttle buses running from the California Lodge to the Gondola, so park and ride! Ski school will be offering beginner classes ONLY out of the Gondola location. Private lessons are for level 5 (able to make wide track parallel turns) skiers and above. The Umbrella Bar, Adventure Peak Grill and East Peak Lodge will all be open.
With limited terrain, it is important that everyone knows and follows the Skier’s Responsibility Code. The code will be strictly enforced – reckless skiers and snowboarders WILL lose their tickets or passes.
Thanks for your cooperation and have fun today!

Hi, can you get on the shuttle from the casinos too? Where does it stop?
How do you get back to the top of the gondola from Dipper?

Heavenly will remain open, and plans to open more terrain and continue to blow snow, conditions permitting.
