Team Rider Sho Reports in From Colorado

Hey everyone,
I just got back from a weekend in Colorado. I skied at a few of the Heavenly family resorts. Breck just opened this weekend; they kicked-off with a pancake breakfast to celebrate. They did a great job especially because the weather is not cooperating. The snowmaking operations have a few runs and a chair ready to go. There were a lot of people excited and geared up for the first day there. I also went to Arapahoe Basin, which as been open for about a month. They have two chairs open; I got to ski from the top of the mountain to the bottom, which is pretty good for the lack of snow. They also have a new chair ready to go when the snowfall cooperates. I got to check it out, the view is beautiful. There is a lot of excitement over the new chair and bowl opening later this winter.

Overall, the trip was pretty good. If you guys are anxious, make a trip out there. The Heavenly pass is valid at the other Vail resorts in Colorado (Keystone, Beaver Creek, A-Basin, Breck, Vail) for three days. I didn’t get to ski Keystone, but as I drove by, I saw the gondola taking skiers and riders up. Heavenly has one of the best snowmaking systems in the world, so you guys should be skiing out there soon! I hope Mother Nature starts giving you some real snow as well! Take care, and see you soon.
