Latest models show a 50/50 percent of snow Friday night into Saturday for the higher elevations, some location may receieve up to 8+ inches above 8000 FT. Ahead of the storm mild condtions apply, but snow level rapidly dropping down to around 5500 FT, but really depends how much moisture is pumped after the cold front moves in. Expect valley rain/shower in the lower elevations.

I live in San Francisco. Took a day trip to South Lake Tahoe today and checked out the weather.

I've had reservations @ Harrah's for next week (Nov 20-26) for the longest time. I pray that it snows cause I spent last month updating my gear for this year and can't wait for next week. If I can't get powder, I don't know what I'm gna do.

I was up at my cabin near stagecoach on Sunday. Woke up to the darn dog wanting to go out. Turned out it was worth while because to my surprise the snow was flying. Such a treat to see snow this early. Heading back up next week for turkey day.

Can't wait to hit Heavenly. Last year was amazing and Heavenly came through with epic conditions, and having all man made snow. Looking forward to what they have this year. Heavenly seriously lives up to their word by offering the best opening conditions in Tahoe! There is no doubt they will bring their A game!
