Olympic Express Construction Continues
If you are hyped for the new Olympic Express high-speed quad that will be replacing that old two-chair clunker than you have to view this video. This morning a huge Chinook helicopter flew in the 13 new towers. No words can describe the way you feel when watching the gigantic blades kick into gear and hear the roar of the engines as the bird takes to the cloudless Tahoe sky dangling a tower from what seems to be a fishing line. Once the dust has settled and you’ve regrouped your hairdo your heart flutters with the thought of a three-and-a-half minute ride time to Nevada Woods and some of the best tree skiing on the planet. This is so cool even my board was aching for pow!

I’ve always liked this area of Heavenly, but the old Olympic chair was so painfully slow that I could only do one or two runs on it.

Part of me sorta wished they didn’t replace that old slow 2 chair clunker because now it means more people riding these “hidden” trails from the masses…

Does anyone know if I can get a chair or two from the old North Bowl lift? I live on Milky Way Court above the Boulder lift and I’d like to install a lift back up to my condo so that it can be ski in as well as ski out??

This seems to be a great idea and i can’t wait to ride it. Maby we could put the Terrain park Back over there. now that the chair has been upgraded we need to have a park in nevada.
