First Snow of the Season!!

I knew it was coming. The cold temperatures were an indication of snow approaching. Last night Mother Nature sprinkled Heavenly with a little more than two inches of snow. When I was driving into the office, I conveniently re-routed so I could catch a glimpse of Gunbarrel. About a quarter of the way up the run I could see snow. The clouds were still hanging low so I couldn’t see the top of the mountain, but I rolled down my window and could smell the snow. Winter is coming people, I told you so in my last entry. Get your gear and your pass! Now there is no denying…does anyone need an experienced nose meteorologist??
Check out the mountain snapshots for pics from this morning.

What do you plan to do over the Winter Holidays?

Wished I lived in Tahoe!!!! I love to visit in the summer to mountain bike. There are only small hills within 200 miles of me. I live in Dallas so the closest thing resembling mountains are in Arkansas, but they don’t EVEN compare to the beauty of your area. I sometimes dream of being back there……

I have two things I love in life. Moguls and Oxygen! Without those two things. I would be dead. Heavenly’s moguls go straight down the face with a stellar view of Lake Tahoe. Don’t stare too long at the lake though. You’re libel to do a FACE PLANT!

  25. Aaron Sneider Says:

Killebrews Canyon is calling my name! Limitless freshies down untracked lines for days! Adrenal glands are in check secreting essential power ski juice for my summer legs. That’s why Snipers Gulch is gonna be ill this winter. Pointing the double blacks, pulling sky high backs and sticking fresh tracks. Sack your backpacks with stacks of adrenal snacks because Jacks Ridge is mine. Entrepenuership is my mission when it comes owning the slopes. Get me to Heavenly NOW!
