Team Rider Checks in from Japan ~ Domo arigato, Mr. Brent Abrams!
I’m in Japan and it’s so much fun.. The Japan Open was three days ago; I finished 6th in pipe. Pretty stoked. I’m touring Japan with my friends. We’ve seen Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe, Yuzawa, Joestukokusai, Nagoya, and tomorrow we’re going to Takasu Snow Park, and then after that we are finishing up in Tokyo. The food is amazing, the women are amazing, and the culture is amazing. I don’t want to come home, never..never…never.
Oh yeah, and before I came to Japan I tied-for-4th at the Aspen Open. It was a fun contest. I messed up major on my run and still got 4th so it was alright.
I am shopping a ton in Japan and I’ve taken about 400 pictures. I like buying chop sticks with different pictures on them. I also like buying those little “dinky things” that you hang on your bags and phones. I haven’t stopped eating, however the food is sooo healthy that I am not getting fat. We are using transportation I have never really used before: trains, buses, and taxis (taxis are expensive but the doors open and close automatically). Everyday we travel with trains and buses. My Japanese is also getting so good. It’s much easier to pick it up here compared to my Japanese class. I’ve been touring so much I’ve forgotten that I’m a skier. I need to get my game face on for next weekend.

im preety jeoluse man your livin it. im moving up to tahoe after highschool.i gots some friends that ride that are going to be chillin with me. im sking every day at bear finally gots da snow.i competed there but got there late only had 2warm up runs so kinda dun something i dont usually do. 3 jumps couldnt clear last three jumps .2 run switch 3 then swiz 5 didnt hit last big jump still got second.whatever im lookin ahead. just got back from mamoth progreesd 5 swiz 7s 9s. im gettin there i got good footage from pops. i need some support like oberemy recomend me sometime when i show you ya da footy and comp wins. keep doin your thing thanks again for bringing me into da world of sking. its my dream for me to be doing what your doing.peace outbrada.
