Andreas Wiig Wins Two Golds at X-Games 11

Heavenly Freeride team rider Andreas Wiig wows the judges two times with a 1st place finish in the Slopestyle and Big Air events at X-Games 11, held on Saturday, Jan 27 and Sunday, Jan 28. Following a devastating crash in the warm-ups for the Slopestyle, Andreas pulled himself together to seal the top podium spot with the score from his first official run. His flawless winning run was filled with technical tricks such as the 1260 and back-to-back 900s; as well as the rail style that Andreas is known for. On Sunday, Andreas went head-to-head against Travis Rice, and won the Gold with a perfectly-executed FS 1080.

Representing the South Shore, Andreas has brought the biggest X-Games win local! Coming from a win at the Honda Sessions Slopestyle in Vail, Andreas will continue his tour and begin filming for Mack Dawg Productions and be a special guest at the Heavenly SouthShore Soldiers Camp in March-April.
