Team Rider, Brent Abrams, weighs in on Reality TV
Well, the most interesting thing I learned during my MTV’s “The Big Ten” experience is that for the reality shows such as Real World and Real World/Road Rules Challenge they do compensate the “actors” for their lost wages from not working. The shots with MTV were easy. They knew what they needed to get and got it. Nothing was planned when it came to what was needed to say; it was reality TV. When I first met the host of the show I thought her head was really big, and honestly I was expecting someone much hotter. But, as the day went on I realized how beautiful she was and now I’m in love. Too bad shes 9 years older than me and lives on the other side of our Nation. I think the cue card Lady had the hots for me, she kept texting me after the shoot. The camera men were a little out of the element being on the snow, but stayed tough all day. I thought the camera men along with every other MTV crew member would have been young; but some were old

While you’re on the subject of Reality TV, there is a new series coming out on the G4 channel called “The Block.” Obviously, it deals with the wild hotel, The Block, which claims to be the world’s first snowboarder hotel. Obviously there will be boarders shredding it in the Heavenly parks. Right?
A little more info can be found on my blog: http://discoverrenotahoe.com/blog/posts/62
Here’s the G4 webpage for The Block:
